License and fair use for Oberon System?

Post by jmaggio14 » Wed Apr 28, 2021 4:31 pm

Hi, I'm an Astrobe7.2 for RISC5 user

I just wanted to double check on licensing and fair use of the Oberon System provided with Astrobe. Am I right in saying that it is identical to the project oberon 2013 license found here: http://www.projectoberon.net/wirth/Proj ... icense.txt?

Just want to make sure I'm not accidently stealing intellectual property

Yes - that is the license that applies to any Project Oberon software, included with Astrobe, that you can also download from http://www.projectoberon.com

We supply additional Oberon source code modules with Astrobe that we have developed (e.g. HCFiler, I2C etc). These are subject to additional (but similar in spirit) License terms. For example, refer to Section 5 License Agreements in the 'ReadMe' file:

https://www.astrobe.com/HCFiler/ReadMe.htm

You will also find comparable header comments, that must not be removed, in the relevant source code files.
