You are absolutely right. But there are other considerations. LPC4357 may be used as a dual-core devices, but also as a device with a clock frequency of 204 MHz and FLASH 1024 KB. Astrobe is designed to support embedded systems that are too limited in resources to be able to host an OS. For NicheLite, Linux (uClinux), QNX it is enough resources.
